CASCARA APPLE TODDY

A fireside favourite with a cascara tea kick
SHOP CASCARA

 

YOU WILL NEED: 
  • 7g loose fruit Cascara Tea 
  • 5oz apple cider
  • 1oz Canadian rye whisky
  • Lemon
  • Cinnamon stick for garnish
  • Rocks glass or double walled glass coffee mug
  • Sieve
  • Digital scale

Serves 1

 
METHOD: 

1. Warm up apple cider to a simmers then turn heat off.

2. Add cascara to the apple cider and steep for 4 minutes.

3. Strain apple cider into serving glass using the sieve.

4. Add 2oz of whisky and squeeze of lemon slice.

5. Garnish with cinnamon stick, lemon wheel and some cascara leftover from steeping.

 

Tip: To serve chilled, add cascara to the apple cider and let steep in the fridge overnight. Then, follow steps 3-5.
