A washed microlot from two brothers, dedicated to specialty coffee innovation in Espírito Santo.
At a young age the two brothers Denizar and Thiago Dias Bouro took over their father’s farm. They had vision for the future of their coffee that focussed on quality over quantity, and so they convinced their family to take a new, innovative approach.
They purchased new processing machinery, started selectively harvesting cherries, and Denizar traveled to Guatemala to learn more about fermentation. Eventually they decided to try their hand at washed coffee which was a change from their previous natural and pulped natural processing. This proved to be a good move, and in 2014 their coffee won top prizes at local quality competitions in Espírito Santo.
This microlot is a combination of two Catucai varieties that performed especially well in the microclimate and is a testament to the Bouro brother’s pioneering spirit.
