IRISH (INSTANT) COFFEE WITH CREAM

A seasonal classic where speciality meets simplicity
SHOP COFFEE

 

YOU WILL NEED: 
  • 8oz brewed Heritage Blend Instant Coffee
  • 2oz Irish whiskey
  • 1oz brown sugar syrup (1 part sugar, 1 part water)
  • Whipped cream or choice of alternative whipped cream
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • Irish coffee mug
  • Spoon

 

Serves 1

METHOD: 

1. Make brown sugar syrup: heat one part sugar and one part water until sugar dissolves. Put aside.

2.  Make instant coffee: add 8oz of filtered water (30s off boil) to one packet of instant coffee and stir. Put aside.

3. In a serving glass, add brown sugar syrup, whiskey and coffee. Stir with a spoon.

4. Top with whipped cream. It should float!

5. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.
