We’re very pleased to showcase a new direct trade partner by way of an existing one. Julian Valenzuela operates a small, pristine farm in Paicol, Huila, Colombia. Just hectares away from finca Las Palmas which is operated by our dear friend, Chalo Fernandez. Chalo’s passion and support for his community is steadfast, helping neighboring farms, like El Vesuvio, produce exceptional results from harvest to milling.

While this is El Vesuvio’s first single origin release, it’s played a flavourful role in our Community Blend where Chalo’s community of coffee growers is represented. It’s a wonderfully clean and balanced cup that deserves a stage of its own.
