Barista Training – PART ONE

FUNDAMENTAL TECHNIQUES

Pilot Coffee Roasters baristas have spent countless hours refining their shots and perfecting their pours. In our two-part Barista Training, our espresso experts will convey their knowledge and share their experience to help you become a rock star barista.

WHAT: The first part of our Barista Training course is a three-hour session covering the fundamental techniques of espresso and espresso-based drinks. Balancing theory with lots of hands-on practice, we'll guide you step-by-step to crafting the perfect cup—from grinding, dosing, and pulling the perfect shot, to steaming silky smooth milk, to finishing with a proper pour and showing you how to clean and maintain the espresso machine. 

WHO: Anyone wanting to take their coffee-making to the next level. You may be an amateur coffee enthusiast, an aspiring barista wanting to break into the scene, or an old hand looking for a brush-up.

EXTRA PERK: Each participant goes home with a bag of fresh-roasted Pilot coffee and a comprehensive training booklet.

Barista Training (Espresso Lab) sessions will be held at the Pilot Coffee Roastery: 
50 Wagstaff Drive, Toronto.
