Mushonyi – Rwanda

Coffee from the Mushonyi station has placed in the Cup of Excellence three times, though they tend to get overshadowed by the juggernauts of Ethiopia and Kenya. Producers here mostly grow Bourbon varieties, so the cup character from Rwanda is more like a Central American coffee: sweet, syrupy and balanced.

This offering is very balanced, with notes of ripe plum, sticky dates and brown sugar with a citric acidity.
