A creamy, smooth microlot from fourth-generation producers in Brazil’s Espírito Santo state.
Nathan Calvi is a fourth-generation coffee producer born on his family’s farm, Sitio Bela Vista. Located in the state of Espírito Santo (meaning ‘Holy Spirit’), their land is in a favourable area formed by high mountains. All of the work on the farm is done by the family, and since 2016 they have focused exclusively on producing specialty microlots. They selectively pick their cherries up to four times per harvest, and process the coffee on site using a pulped natural method. This processing method that was established in Brazil involves removing the skin from the fruit and letting the coffee dry with almost all of the pulp still in tact, highlighting the coffee’s sweetness.
